As part of their ongoing partnership with OSPREY Initiative, LLC a specialty environmental contractor, Coke Consolidated sponsored Cincinnati area cleanups at Lick Run Greenway and Winton Woods. Lick Run is a strategic park with over 11 acres that drain into Mill Creek. Winton Woods cleanup was done under the leadership of Mill Creek Alliance.
The cleanups netted over 93 pounds of trash and recyclables. All PET containers were collected and sent on their journey to become new bottles. Consolidated continues its work with OSPREY on the Litter Gitter startup project in the area.
Leadership is also working with students at the University of Toledo to explore installation of Litter Booms on campus. The goal is to increase recycling of all beverage containers, especially PET bottles and keep containers from becoming waste in nature.
