The Walk to Defeat ALS was recently held in three Ohio cities during the month of September. These fundraising and awareness events were held in Columbus on September 10th, Cincinnati on September 17th, and in Dayton on September 24th. The walks raised over $700,000 and had about 4,000 participants combined.
This annual series of events is the largest fundraiser for The ALS Association’s Central &
Southern Ohio Chapter, which serves patients at no cost to their families throughout fifty-five
counties in Ohio. The Chapter was graciously supported in the form of bottled water donations for Walk participants from Keurig Dr Pepper in Columbus, Coca-Cola Consolidated in Cincinnati, and PepsiCo Beverages North America in Dayton.
