PepsiCo's Seventh Annual Rolling Remembrance Rolls On

Spring 2022 marks the seventh year for PepsiCo’s partnership with the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation to put on Rolling Remembrance. The 10,000-mile journey is made in honor of fallen U.S. soldiers and their families. The partnering organization, the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation, has been helping to provide scholarships to the children of soldiers killed in action since 2002. PepsiCo has helped to raise $1.4 million for the fund since 2015.

On the tour, an American flag first flown in an active combat zone is passed relay style across the country. This year’s tour features fifty-three stops in the continental U.S. and thirty-six drivers, all of whom are veterans of all six branches of the military and now employed by PepsiCo. The flag first arrived in Seattle via a JetBlue flight also piloted by veterans. The tour is led in part by PepsiCo Valor, a resource group for veteran employees and their communities.

According to Jim Farrell, Senior Vice President of Operations at PepsiCo Beverages North America Central Division and Executive Sponsor of PepsiCo Valor, “By honoring the sacrifices of these military heroes, supporting their families through Children of Fallen Heroes Foundation, and recognizing our own military veterans at PepsiCo, we celebrate the important role of veterans in our country and in our company.”

Rolling Remembrance is currently on the road, with stops across the country including three in Ohio. On May 5th in Toledo at 7 am, in Enon at 12 pm, and on May 6th at 8 am in Twinsburg. These stops are just part of the journey which will conclude just before Memorial Day in Purchase, New York at the PepsiCo Headquarters.
