G&J Pepsi Took the Polar Plunge

G&J Pepsi was the presenting sponsor for the 2024 Columbus Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Ohio in February. The annual event raised over $273,000 for the organization this year, which will help provide more than 20,000 athletes with leadership programs, sports and health education.

The official start of the festivities began as one of the Special Olympics athletes, Maxwell, carried the torch to Lower.com Stadium’s stage. Tim Trant, CEO of G&J Pepsi, then spoke to the crowd and recognized the generous contributions of the top individual donors.

Next was the costume contest for individuals and groups, with G&J Pepsi's team dressed as a "six-pack" of Mtn Dew Code Red Cans. Other group costumes competing included '80s icons, Lovebugs, and characters from Frozen. Even though their costume didn’t place, the G&J Pepsi team had a fun time, showing off their dance moves before they took the icy plunge.

Thank you to G&J Pepsi team members Tim Trant, Sam Payton, Erica Marcum, Mike Hampton, Carrie Stevens, Jeff Green, and James Carpenter for participating at the event and for "freezin’ for a reason"!
