In a continued effort to stop the spread of COVID-19, The Ohio Beverage Association held its first ever Virtual Legislative Day on March 24. Instead of gathering at the statehouse or the Vern Riffe Center like in years past, OhioBev members met with state senators and representatives across Ohio online via Zoom to share information about our members and tell their local story. These meetings included a conversation with Senate President Matt Huffman, and remarks from Speaker of the House Bob Cupp. Between meetings, participants were invited to take photos in a custom designed virtual photo booth to commemorate the day.
Despite the many changes that came with holding the event virtually, the ever-popular gift bags containing samples of member company products were safely delivered to all legislative offices. While the event was successfully held online, we look forward to meeting in person again next year.
