Keurig Dr Pepper has announced its newest partnership with PAPACKS, a manufacturer based out of Cologne, Germany to design and bring to life its newest innovation: 100% compostable packaging. This announcement is a part of the group’s Drink Well. Do Good. initiative, an overall commitment to responsible corporate sustainability. The goal of this project is to reduce usage of virgin plastic by 25% by 2025.
The new packaging prototypes will be expected in late 2022, made of entirely organic materials. This new bottle will be available for the various water, juice, and carbonated offerings Keurig Dr Pepper produces. Also on the docket are compostable K-Cups©, generally expanding the recyclability of their coffee product line, and making their other products more sustainable.
