Ohio Beverage Association joined representatives from the American Beverage Association and Closed Loop Partners to celebrate completion of Evergreen’s, a preferred supplier of food and non-food grade rPET, building and production expansion in Clyde, Ohio.

The beverage industry’s Every Bottle Back Initiative played a key role in the project, contributing $5 million—half from American Beverage Association and half from Closed Loop Partners’ infrastructure Fund- to the $22 million expansion. Evergreen now encompasses an additional 54,000 square foot addition, state of the art processing equipment and reach to process 11.8 billion plastic bottles a year yielding an estimated 113 million pounds of food grade PET annually.

J.P. Nauseef, President and CEO of JobsOhio hailed the project, saying “[i]t affirms the company’s status as not only one of the largest plastic recyclers in the country, but as a worldwide competitor in recycling.”
